The 6-6 combo guard participated in a signing day ceremony at Hillcrest Prep, but did not officially sign his letter until that night. The school formally announced the signing on Thursday morning.

Terry is a consensus 4-star prospect and is ranked between 27th and 49 nationally by the major recruiting serves. Considered a wing player by analysts, Terry has mentioned the ability to play combo guard at the next level.

Dalen Terry Sign

Terry is the lone signee so far in the class and is likely the only player Arizona will ink in the fall signing period. Sean Miller said he expects to add at least five players in the class, and that they could be a combination of high school recruits and transfers.

Arizona could be waiting on a decision by Chicago’s Adam Miller. Miller recently cut his list to three, though a late offer by Michigan may have confused things. Miller tweeted out that he might visit the Wolverines, but deleted the tweet. Regardless, Michigan is making a late push for the four-star guard after missing on some other prospects. Miller is thought to be an Illinois lean, but the Wildcats and Louisville are also in play. He will make his decision on November 21, the day after the early signing period ends. Current Wildcat Zeke Nnaji also committed shortly after the early signing period wrapped up.

Other names to keep an eye on include 5-star wing Ziaire Williams and guard Kerwin Walton. Williams has made no indication that he is close to choosing and Walton is someone who could decide early and not sign. Walton recently visited Vanderbilt, but Arizona and Minnesota seem to be the top choices for the guard from Nnaji’s high school. Big man Dawson Garcia had Arizona in his top-seven in late September, but he did not visit the Wildcats and will likely choose between Minnesota, Marquette, Indiana and Memphis on November 20.

Arizona graduates four scholarship seniors, Dylan Smith, Chase Jeter, Max Hazzard and Stone Gettings, and expect to lose up to three freshmen to the NBA Draft. They will get Jordan Brown in the fold. The Nevada transfer will be eligible after a redshirt season. They are also hoping for the return of Brandon Williams, who is sitting out this season after knee surgery.
