Sam Howell Listed as a Heisman Favorite
SportsBettingDime.com released preseason prop bets for individual skill position players on each Power Five team.
UNC quarterback Sam Howell was named the top Heisman candidate on the UNC roster and is on the short list among all players in Power Five.
Howell was given odds of +1,600 to win the Hesiman, meaning that a $100 bet on him would earn a $1,600 payout. Only one other player in the ACC had better Heisman odds: Clemson quarterback DJ Uiagalelei. Oklahoma’s Spencer Rattler (+950) was the only other player in the country with better odds than Howell.

Howell also has the highest over/under numbers for passing yards and touchdowns of any ACC quarterback. The bar was set at 4,025.5 yards and 31.5 touchdown passes for Howell. Not only did Howell’s yardage number lead the ACC, it was tops in the nation—the only quarterback expected to top 4,000 yards.
Howell’s passing touchdown over/under was third in the nation to Oklahoma’s Rattler (34.5) and USC’s Kedon Slovis (32.5). Ohio State’s CJ Stroud matched Howell’s 31.5 over/under
