Cardinals Open Week 15 as Largest Underdogs

The Arizona Cardinals are nearly two touchdown underdogs to the San Francisco 49ers.

ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals are fresh off their bye week - and they'll need it when the San Francisco 49ers come to State Farm Stadium in Week 15.

Arizona opened as 13.5 point underdogs to the visiting 49ers on BetOnline, the largest spread next week. The only other game with a double digit spread is KC-NE with Patrick Mahomes and co. as ten point favorites.

The Cardinals certainly hope fortunes are reversed this time around, as their last meeting with the 49ers ended with a 35-16 loss.

San Francisco has only gotten better, as they're 10-3 and have won the last five games they've played.

During their recent five-game stretch, San Francisco is allowing an average of 13 points per game while hitting at least 27 points offensively each week.

The 49ers are certainly hitting their stride, though the Cardinals hope they can approach their monumental matchup with a mix of rest and momentum after defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road last time out.

"I know they had a little pep in their step there," Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said prior to Monday's "bonus" practice.

Despite having one of the best records in the league, San Francisco is just 7-6 against the spread, sitting with the same record as Arizona. The 49ers are 4-3 as road favorites while the Cardinals are 4-2 as home underdogs.
