As the 2023 NFL draft looms (it's less than two weeks away!), your Los Angeles Chargers look to be in great position to bolster their roster depth. The Bolts boast selections in each of the draft's seven rounds, starting with the No. 21 pick.

What Los Angeles will do when their number is called is anyone's guess.

The Chargers have recently been connected with University of Texas at Austin running back Bijan Robinson by Vegas oddsmakers, though an ESPN insider hears their priority is shoring up their wide receivers.

Nick Shook of NFL.com believes that the Chargers' draft picks this season could go a long way towards improving the team's postseason chances.

"These seven picks will be important for the overall strength of the team, which will be tested in the 2023 season," Shook writes. "GM Tom Telesco must draft well to help Brandon Staley push past last season's playoff disappointment."

Last year, LA finished with a 10-7 record and made 2023 Super Wild Card Weekend. The team got off to a terrific 27-0 start in its Wild Card game against the Jacksonville Jaguars... who promptly came roaring back to catch up, and won 32-31.

Shook posits that the signing of free agent linebacker Eric Kendricks should help shore up the club's defense.

This is clearly a club that is shooting for major Super Bowl glory, desperate to take major next steps in the playoffs, with 2022 Pro Bowl quarterback Justin Herbert leading the way.

Now on the cusp of his third season as the Bolts' head coach, Staley may have to grapple with the weight of potential title expectations, even in a crowded AFC that boasts intimidating franchises with more advanced recent playoff pedigree, including the Cincinnati Bengals, the Buffalo Bill, and of course the reigning champs, the Kansas City Chiefs.
