Chargers News: Two Veteran Centers Could be Free Agent Target For Bolts

The Chargers could use some help beefing up the offensive line.

The Los Angeles Chargers could have a very different team by the time the 2024 season arrives. New players will likely be on the way, and long-time Chargers could have a new home.

Nothing is set in stone right now, but this team is sure to make some serious moves to their roster and for the better. The Bolts have already been tied to some players set to be free agents or cut from a team. Two more have been connected to the Bolts, and both are centers.

According to the Content Creator for the team, Steven Haglund, the Bolts may make a move on centers Mason Cole from the Steelers and Bradley Bozeman from the Panthers.

It's not a sure thing Cole and Bozeman will get cut, but if they do, look at the Bolts to possibly make a move.

Haglund states these two have ties to head coach Jim Harbaugh and general manager Joe Hortiz. Cole is tied to Harbaugh as he played for the new Charger coach in Michigan from 2014 to 2017. The 27-year-old center was a two-time Second-team All-Big Ten in his junior and senior seasons.

As for Bozeman, he spent the first four years of his career with the Baltimore Ravens. Hortiz took part in drafting Bozeman in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

The Chargers are likely not getting center Corey Linsley back, as she stated he is "99% sure" he is retiring. The uncertainty of Linsley's status could lead the team to look at Bozeman and Cole, who could be the first of many names linked to Harbaugh and Hortiz as free agency and other moves are made in the coming months.
