Eight Chargers to be Featured on NFL Top 100 Players List, More Than Any Other Team

Eight Chargers to be named to the NFL Top 100 Players List voted by their peers.

The NFL has revealed the first 80 players of the league's Top 100 Players List over the last two weeks. The top 20 players will be announced Sunday, Aug. 28 on NFL Network at 5 p.m. PT.

The Chargers have already had seven players featured in the NFL Top 100 Players List, voted by their peers.

That list includes the following:

  • No. 30: DE Joey Bosa
  • No. 35: WR Keenan Allen
  • No. 40: QB Justin Herbert
  • No. 43: S Derwin James
  • No. 46: RB Austin Ekeler
  • No. 60: C Corey Linsley
  • No. 79: LT Rashawn Slater

The Chargers will hear the name called of one more player during the league's final reveal show. Cornerback J.C. Jackson is set to crack the list inside the top 20 spots.

Factoring in Jackson's eventual ranking, the Chargers are set to become the leading team with the most players featured in the NFL Top 100 Players List with eight.

Meanwhile, in a surprising outcome, edge rusher Khalil Mack was not voted to the NFL Top 100 Players List. Mack only played seven games last season due to a foot injury that sidelined him, but when on the field, he was highly productive, logging six sacks.

Update: Jackson has clocked in at No. 20 on the NFL Top 100 Players List.
