Chargers to Sign Former Buffalo Bills DT Poona Ford
The Los Angeles Chargers are signing former Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Poona Ford to a contract. It is for one year, according to NFL insider Aaron Wilson.
Ford spent last season in Buffalo, appearing in eight games. He posted just one sack and nine tackles while with the Bills.
Prior to joining Buffalo, Ford spent multiple years with the Seattle Seahawks. His best season came in 2021 when he racked up 53 tackles and two sacks over 17 games played.
He is likely to be a solid depth piece for the Bolts but could earn his spot under new head coach Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh loves to build out the trenches with physicality and Ford can do exactly that for this team.
This is another solid addition for this Chargers team and gives them a low-risk, potentially high-reward player.
